Hello all, 

due to the covid pandemic, we might not see a production of Elisabeth in near future. My heart is still hoping for 2022 aka 30th anniversary in Wien (Vienna) so keep our fingers crossed. But at the end of 2019, a new non-replica was opened in Czech republic (where I currently reside) so I added the info about production in Plzeň, city mostly known for its beer (Pilsner or the Czech one is called Pilsner Urquell). They are also pretty good with musical theatre, doing shows like Sweeney Todd, Evita, Joseph atd, Full Monty or in the Corona season – American idiot. 

Hello and welcome to Elipedia, the English wiki/encyclopedia of the musical Elisabeth by Kunze-Levay. You will find here cast lists, scene lists, details about productions, costumes, recordings and of course, the actors.

These pages are currently in BETA and as soon as it has more content, I am planning to move to own domain.

How you can help

As the aim is to make it wiki-style page, YOUR help is needed. As I obviously cannot know it all. If you find any mistake, wrong info etc., feel free to correct. And of course, if you want to make a biography for your favourite perfomer, feel free to do so. But please keep the post RULES.

So you found out that there is missing some cast list. Great. You can make it. First you need to find the production to which the cast list belongs.

Click on EDIT

You will see list of productions. If you want to add one, simply enter new row and clik on ADD WIKI LINK. The syntax must like on the picture.

In the link field you have to enter the title of the page (eg. 1996 Budapest.) In the show field, you can update the text that will be visible, but in majority of cases you leave it blanks.  You can then save the post.

When you then show the page, the text will be in RED. That means the page doesn’t exist and you can create it.

By clicking on the page title, you will get to new post.

Since we want to keep the same format for all cast lists, we need to enter the roles using the yada wiki syntax. So you should go to pastebin and simply paste predefined formatted text from HERE.

And you will get this:

and now you can enter the names of the actors.

BEWARE: If you are entering an actor that is somewhat “more famous” and you want to make him biography or this person already has a biography, you have to enter the data as “Add wiki link” so it will look like this:

Do not forget to tick “cast lists” in the Wiki Categories.

So, you have your favourite actor/actress and you want him/her to have own biography. You are more than welcome.

Here is how to do it:

In case the person doesn’t have the name in red, it means we need to make it, using again the yadawiki syntax. You first need to locate ALL the productions where the person appeared in and you will see simply this.

So we need to change the name to the yadawiki page.

 

So just cut the name, click on the Add Wiki Link. Enter the name of your actor and click Insert shortcode.

This will make the person’s name appear in red and it means you can create the page.

If the person already has the prolink (the name appears in red on the cast lists) you simply click on the red link and you will get to the blank page.

First you should enter the role and production in which the person appeared in. You will need yadawiki syntax again

In case the page already exists, you can pick it from the list.

Then we need to add nationality and homepage / facebook fanpage in case the person doesn’t have official website.

Then continue with short biography.

At the end you can add list of roles. Please try to keep the formatting as below. Use italics for name of the show and brackets for specifying the city and/or country.

At the end you can also add some interesting facts eg. played more roles in one production, how many shows played etc.

Please DO NOT USE copyrighted pictures.

On the left side of the page you can see the menu with all the information. All the new pages / edits will always appear in the part of the pages under this menu.

In order to update the pages, you need to register as user. You will receive an email with login information and you will be then able to change and create pages.

Please do NOT use any pictures that are copyrighted. I am planning to contact the theatres and copyright holders for permission.

Do not vandalize posts.

This page is using plugin called yadawiki which allows linking the articles together. Please use the syntax explained in the posts above!
